Sonically, the song is a party-ready New York boom bap joint that just might have been fresh frozen back in the 90’s'; record scratchin’ and jazzy keys included. But then, when Stove God Cooks brings the chorus after Westside Gunn’s lead off shot, you know that ‘The Louvre’ is a 21st century original. Although boom bap is not as rare as it used to be, ‘The Louvre’ is an extremely rare example of boom bap perfection for the culture.
