πŸ“― Oskar Schuster enters the picture

Oskar Schuster enters the picture (or better yet painting) as a new β€œclassical” music artist who could land up on the next Coachella lineup. His presence is bubbling in the right youthful spots as he reaches for new instrumental powers and adds visual treatments to grow his surreal musical world.

Oskar Schuster’s fantasy-first approach to the β€œPost-classical” genre first came to light in the early 2010s. That is when Oskar dropped out of his musicology studies in Munich and moved to Berlin, to begin releasing his own, instrumental (and mainly piano-only) music starting with an incredible debut in 2011, β€˜Dear Utopia’. Since then, it’s been all work and clearly plenty of play as Oskar Schuster adds new instruments, like the trumpet and cornet, to his compositions and stirs up a world of wonder with museum-grade music videos.

And so, for day three of 13 Days of Music to Cherish, we have a special holiday video from Oskar Schuster to play on your favorite screen.

β€˜Shchedryk (Merry Merry Christmas)β€˜ by Oskar Schuster and Angie Siveria

On β€˜Shchedryk (Merry Merry Christmas)β€˜, Oskar Schuster takes a step away from his normal instrumental-only approach and welcomes his wife, Angie Siveria, to sing the vocal parts and appear on screen. Importantly, Angie Siveria collaborates with Oskar to bring his music to life visually with highly textured videos and fairy-tale imagery that truly portrays Oskar Schuster’s unique music.
