Sometimes the music we find deserves a lot of explaining. OSKA is one of these times.

OSKA is a budding artist that sprang up on the Indie scene from a small town in Austria with the debut album titled ‘My world, My love, Paris’ that was released in 2022. This album felt like parting ways with a childhood dresser; nostaglic ASF and over too soon. As playful as it was classic, ‘My world, My love, Paris’ was full of bops OSKA had written as a 24 year-young singer-songwriter. You might say “wise beyond her years”, OSKA packed universal themes into easy flowing lyrics over rolling melodies to create songs that were plucked from somewhere between the Austrian Alps and her acoustic guitar strings. And with this album, OSKA racked up millions of streams. Call it hippie friendly indie folk by way of Paul Simon, or just call it timeless Indie music, two things became clear: first, OSKA was resonating with music fans worldwide, and secondly, OSKA was it for the long haul, belting out lyrics like:

After this successful debut, OSKA kept writing and released a string of stand alone singles in route to her 2025 sophomore album, ‘Refined Believer’, that dropped in June. If ‘My world, My love, Paris’ lives on the sunny side of Laurel Canyon, ‘Refined Believer’ lives on the shady side. But higher up, with a country view instead of a city view. And to be clear, ‘Refined Believer’ does not need the sun to be enjoyable, the shade that OSKA found suits her quite well.

OSKA has delivered two official music videos from the new album, one for ‘Gloria’ and and another for the title track ‘Refined Believer’. ‘Gloria’ is a black and white Super 8 video that matches OSKA sound stepping out into a trending place within the realm of Indie Country music. ‘Refined Believer’ is a beautiful performance video that sends listeners off into a dreamy Indie ether with a variety of organic performance scenes edited to match this rolling acoustic ditty, which ends with OSKA repeating the chorus “it’s gonna take all my life”….sang in overall taboot.
