π from βAll over me(Official Video)β by HAIM
Music and relationships. Thatβs the good stuff right there.
From the first singles leading up to βI Quitβ, HAIM made it clear they bringing something more to the table by giving a little less. Less βfβsβ that is.
βRelationshipsβ brought some slick sampling tricks to chill with Esteβs grooviest bass lines today and this opened up the range for HAIMβs fourth album. βRelationshipsβ is a bop that leans back into 90βs sexy, swag aesthetic. Something theyβve teased before but finally on 'Relationshipsβ a R&B centered Pop song emerged that still sounded 1000% HAIM. βRelationshipsβ feels like youβd request it by saying βhey DJβ¦β vs. asking for the aux.
Then like honestly only HAIM could do, the albumβs second single βDown to be wrongβ went hard, in the other direction. Rock anthem time, with Danielle ripping through lyrics like:
βDid you think you could keep me busy
Holding the lineβ
Last Friday βI Quitβ dropped with 15 songs, and this week HAIM delivered the third official music video from the album with the single βAll over meβ, an more classic indie rock singalong but this time free from innuendo because HAIMβs quit with bullsh*t.
